The Knysna Timber Industry and forest – The History
This is a new and fascinating photographic tour of Indigenous forests and the timber industry. We will visit a natural forest, active timber manufacturing factory and Craft Brewery. These activities will allow you to learn about the local industry and create unique images. This is the only tours of its kind in the whole of the Garden Route
Departure Time: This will be season dependent but normally 08h00 (TBC)
Duration: 3 to 4 hours
Our adventure starts as we collect you from your guest house on at the pre-arranged time. Our first stop will be a section of indigenous forest where you will have the opportunity to learn about the forest and also capture images of the trees, plants, and paths of the forest. Next, we will return back to Knysna and visit a fully operational woodworking factory industry and get creative with your images and thinking.
Finally will end this tour with a stop at the local food and brewers hub in the industrial area for either a coffee or a taste of the local craft brews (single tray). You will also receive useful and creative photographic tuition during this photo walk.
